Mountain Weekend

Here are some pictures from our weekend in the mountains. We hiked, fished, swam, and had a lot of fun. It is so great to be able to escape to this area every now and then. Even after 4 years of living up there in college I could never grow tired of the NC mtns.

Tanner caught a bunch too!
The gang at Upper Creek FallsBen swinging from the rope into the freezing water. Right before he did this Honey accidentally slid down the rocks into the water and Ben had to rescue her. Poor Honey was so sore on Monday from trying to claw her way back up the rock that she could barely walk.

Jennifer's Baby Shower

June 7th marked the wonderful day of Jennifer's baby shower. I hosted it at my house with 7 other wonderful women. Throwing a baby shower for Jennifer was a real treat because she is in many ways my soul mate when it comes to friendship. I love her dearly and know that her daughther will have a very special place in my heart too.
We are all very excited to meet Wynnie Webster!

Here is Ben and Blair leaving for an AM bike ride. They are so cute in their spandex but I promised Ben I wouldn't get a close-up in his get-up. This is the beginning of Ben finally using this really nice road bike he bought last year. I have heard the word "tri-athalon" a few times recently so we will see what happens next!

Snake!

This is what Ben found in our yard this week. It's only one of the many black snakes that live in our yard/surroundings. I'm happy about this because they will keep the really bad snakes (ie Copperheads) away or eat them if they come near...but seeing one is still a little scary.

When we put him in the woods he went up this branch in 3 seconds flat!

Baby D

Saturday was one of my bestest friends first baby shower and since it was in Vermont, where she lives, I could not attend. I am saving my travels for when then baby arrives. I was sad to miss the festivities and miss my dear friend Liza very much. I really wish I could be closer during this special time. So since I didn't get to see Liza or her beautiful belly with Baby Driscoll inside I am posting these awesome pictures of her at 30 weeks. How beautiful is she!
