7 months

Unfortunately Buxton turned 7 months a little under the weather. He's had a stomach virus for 1.5 weeks and is still pooping like crazy. We hope to have the culture results back tomorrow but no matter what has there isn't anything we can do about it but wait most likely. On top of the stomach problems Buxton also has Croup and fevers as high as 102.5. This is a common viral infection of the larynx and has this baby sounding like a seal when he coughs and wheezing as he breathes. It breaks my heart to hear his cough cause it sounds so horrible. The Dr. gave us a steroid to treat this so I'm praying that works quickly.
The picture is of Buxton and Ben napping together today. Buxton barely slept last night cause he felt so bad and Ben worked 16 hours on both Friday and Saturday so needless to say these boys are exhausted. I am as well and napped a little today, but took some time to go on a nice walk with the dogs this afternoon. The sun was finally out and the sky was blue-bird with the most beautiful clouds....majestic clouds that God certainly hand sculpted. As we walked the sun, breeze, and fresh air felt like God's arms wrapping around me. This was much needed with all the worrying over the baby and exhaustion from taking care of him these last few days. God is good and gave me just what I needed today so that I can get Buxton through this and well again.

Blessings to all
Kristin

Poop patrol

We have been up to our eyeballs in poop for a week now. What I mean by that is that Buxton has been emptying his bowels 5-10 times a day for a week now. It is lovely. What is lovelier is that today we spent the entire day collecting his poop to fill these vials that the Dr. will test for any "problems". Are you grossed out yet? If you are a Mom probably not and I have to say that after this I'm not phased by much anymore. In a few days we should know what's going on with our sweet boy's tummy and I'm really hoping it's nothing serious. I have to tell you that I've never been so happy to see brown in the diaper as I've been each time today cause each poop meant we were that much closer to being done with the "collecting". You know how I said I would never drive a mini-van and now I do? Well I definitely never thought I could write so much about poop!
Sorry. I'm done now.

OBX09

I'm a little late in getting these pics up from our beach trip to Buxton, NC in the Outer Banks last week. But better late than never! There are so many good ones and I couldn't post them all to my blog so go here to view them all. We loved spending so much QT with Jenn, Bob, Wynn, Harper, Verge, Josh, Jules and of course Clementine! The weather could have been better but at least we got to go to the beach twice. My pics make it look like it was sunny the whole time but I assure you it was not! Ben caught lots of fish and we at them two nights for dinner. The babies loved the sand but you will see that for yourself. Enjoy!

Swinging

I just had to post these pics we took yesterday of Buxton's 1st time on a swing. You think he liked it?
This was just part of our great family time we had after work yesterday. It started with Ben coming home about 4:30pm asking if he wanted me to get Buxton from daycare or should he. I was in the process of responding while sitting at my desk in my office when Buxton popped into my view with a big smile on his face. It was the best surprise ever and made my day. I love my husband and these sweet gestures!

The pics were taken with a phone so they aren't as good as usual. Just a little disclaimer. :)
