I just took a photography class to learn about the awesome camera my parents bought me for Christmas. Here are the pics I took at the shoot we had while learning about our cameras. I can't wait to have a little one to practice more on!

Reaching out

Most of my blog readers have been informed of my Mom's diagnosis of breast cancer. If this is news then rest assured she received the best diagnosis possible...a grade 0 and what appears to be completely non-invasive. Tomorrow we go to the oncologist to learn of the the MRI results from her other breast and are praying that this one will get the "all clear". After tomorrow Mom will have all the info. she needs to make an educated decision about her treatment. So if you could please pray that Mom only has this cancer in one breast and she receives some relief from the anxiety she has had around choosing a treatment. I have truly felt God's presence in this and know that He is with us. Your prayers are most appreciated. I will post updates as things develop.

A tree of love

I can finally say that the nursery is done now that we completed our tree "art project" and I got all the furniture in spots that I will hopefully keep it in for awhile. I'm really bad about moving furniture around in our house and my poor husband will be the first to tell you this. Anyways, here are the pics. Now we just need a baby to put in this room! 4 weeks to go....

Long time no see

It has been over a year since many of us have seen James Bailey. He lives in Colorado Springs and is in the Army. I just got an email from him today which made me really happy. He seems to be doing well and hopes to come home in May for a visit. When he does we will have a pool party to celebrate!

Confidence in the future

Updated Nursery Pics

Mom and I were doing some post-Christmas sale shopping and found this super-cute quilt and rug for Buxton's room. We moved the 4 poster bed that I originally had in the room out, and put this single with a trundle in there instead. Besides some wall art the nursery is pretty much ready to go!
