Holding my head high

Buxton wanted to show you how he is learning to hold his head up now and using the Moby Wrap to support his back was great practice. So here is a pic and a video for your enjoyment!

The Lightrail, Wynnie and 4 weeks!

Here are pictures from Buxton's first ride on the LYNX Light Rail in Charlotte. Ben's family was with us and it was a great day!

This is a photo from Wynnie and Buxton's first "play time" together. Wynnie was very excited about her new friend! I have a video that is sooo good of the 2 of them but it's too long to upload. I'm going to figure out another way to share it.

A good Friday

This week has been rough because Buxton started being fussy around 12-2am every night and this was very hard on Ben and I. Last night was a good one though (4 hours between feedings and 7 hours of sleep for me!) so I felt extra motivated today to accomplish many things. My fridge got a cleaning while Carla, Ed 

and Grace played with Buxton, the dogs got a bath as well as their beds, and I had a mini photo-shoot with sweet Buxton. He did so good and I was pretty happy with the pics! 

The Gosline's visit

Carla, Ed and Grace came home for a visit since Carla is on Spring Break from Nursing school. This was the fist time they met Buxton and it was very special! Check out Grace and her "pageant pose" while playing in some of her Aunt Bridget's old pageant clothes....priceless!

Buxton's 1st trip to the USNWWC

On Saturday we decided to embrace the beautiful weather and make a trip to the US National White Water Center. It was the perfect day for lunch on the patio and we were joined by 

Harper and John,  Kim and Jessamy, and Trey and Catherine. It was so sunny that I literally watched Cat's skin turn the pretty tan it so easily does and Harper ended up with very red skin after it set in by the end of the night. Luckily Jess had her camera to capture this 1st in Buxton's life!

Buxton's 1 week old birthday outing

On Wednesday, 1 week after Buxton's birth, we took him to lunch at Mez with his Papa and then to opening day of Ben's best friend's new store, Revolution. It is at the EpiCenter in Uptown Charlotte. Buxton did sooo well and it was great for Ben and I to get out. We did a little photo shoot since Brandon carries some kids clothes that are super cute and Rock'n'Roll inspired. The last couple photos are of the clothes we have from Revolution and I was especially excited to find the Bob Marley "Onesie Love" piece.

1 week and 1 day

Things are going so amazingly well with Buxton and we feel so lucky to have had the great first week that we did. He is sleeping and nursing well and only cries when he is hungry or needs to be changed. Yesterday we had his 1 week ped. appt. and could not have gotten a better report. He is back to his birth weight and the doc said everything else looks perfect! Praise Jesus. 

We also had a very special outing after the dr. but that will be my next post.
