11 weeks and a heartbeat....

...that is what today meant for Ben and I. Today I am 11 weeks pregnant and we heard our baby's heartbeat for the first time. It was awesome! We are super excited about being parents and all that the next few months is going to bring. Since Sunday is the only one who reads my blog I guess this news is really for her. :)
So far I've felt pretty good and have only suffered headaches and extreme tiredness. Stay tuned for updates and maybe even a belly shot or 2 as things progress.

Paddling up the river

This past Sunday we took a little trip in our canoe up the South Fork River. Since Honey has proven herself in a canoe in the past she was able to come with us. Here are some pics I took.

Wynnie's big adventure

This was a special night because it was Wynnie's first visit to Niche Mkt in NoDa. We walked around the galleries during the gallery crawl and Wynnie slept snugly in Jennifer's very attention getting wrap/sling/carrier.

After about 1 hour we were all exhausted!

Look at this sleeping beauty. I had the privilege of feeding Wynnie a bottle at 2:30 am Friday night which gave Jenn a "free-pass" so she could get a little extra sleep and also let Bobby get some much needed rest.

After 1 hour and 15 minutes Wynnie had her diaper changed, drank 3 oz of milk, burped, spit up, changed pj's, changed diapers again and was sleeping soundly about 3:45am. I really enjoyed this time with Wynnie and being able to help out my friends. Bobby rewarded me with an awesome breakfast in the morning and Jenn and I got a nice walk in...just the 2 of us.
God is so good!

It's Summer!

You know it's summer at our house when tomato sandwiches are always on the menu for lunch. So far our tomatoes have been soooo yummy and I have especially been enjoying the cherry size.
This is one of my lettuce plants. I don't think lettuce is supposed to be this tall, but it still tastes good!

Strawberries! Unfortunately we don't get to eat many because the baby bunnies get to them first.

More pics of Wynnie almost 1 week old. I will have more next weekend after I spend this night with them and help with the nightime feedings.

This is Pilot Bunch. He is Ben's great friend, Kenny, and his wife Angie's son. We met Pilot for the first time over the July 4th weekend and what a treat that was. Pilot is awesome. He is so excited to skateboard that he is already learning ...it was so cool to see.
These are the shoes we bought for Pilot. 2 pair...the checkboard Vans were too big but he still wanted to wear one of each.

Wynnie Olivia Webster is here!

Wynnie Olivia Webster
born June 30, 2008 4:15pm 5 lbs 14oz 20"

On Monday June 30th my cell phone rang 2 times in a row... it was Jenn but I couldn't answer for her to tell me she was headed to the hospital because I was on the phone with my boss. Ughhh. But I had this gut feeling that something was up and it wasn't Jenn needing me to look at another baby item she was having a hard time choosing the right color in. So after calling Niche Mkt, Bobby's cell and Jenn's cell I dialed Jenn's Mom. Sure enough her water broke and she was at the hospital! Oh my goodness I was freaking out because being the planners that Jenn and I are this early arrival was not part of any plans for at least 2-3 weeks...or even 4. Well Wynnie was in charge this day and she was ready to make her debut. My girl Jenn did so good with labor that she didn't even have time for the epidural and still powered right on through. At 4:15 pm Wynnie had arrived and Jenn and Bob were officially parents.

I can't say it enough....God is so good! This baby girl is healthy, beautiful and so so precious. Jennifer and Bobby look awesome too and look so natural with their child. It was so cool to see Bobby feeding her...very impressive! Needless to say I am thrilled that my best friend is now a Mom and I get to share in this awesome adventure with her.
