Last week we were in Utah for 7 days. Ben had to come home on Thursday but Buxton and I stayed from Sunday-Sunday. It was a really great trip despite some illnesses the adults had and we got to snowboard on beautiful mountains, with great snow, and be with loved ones.
We were fortunate to have a really nice and large house to stay at for free and be in a location that allowed us to ride at different mountains instead of one the whole time. The Webster family was part of our crew and it was so awesome to experience the week with them...the good and the bad. Jenn and I took our friendship to a new level with the awesomeness that a stomach bug brings and getting stuck on the side of cliff on snowboards. And it was really great for us to bring our babes on a trip pretty far from home and experience how well it went for them. I am big on exposing Buxton to many experiences and feel that family trips are really good for the family unit.
It was so great for Buxton and Wynnie to be at the perfect age to really interact and enjoy each other. This is a rare shot of Buxton not trying to take what she had at the moment and them actually sitting still for a minute together.
Buxton started walking like crazy while we were in Utah. Wynnie was definitely the "driver" behind this. Sweet boy got tired of eatin' her dust so he decided to join her at her level.
Look how sweet Wynn's smile is. I think she gets that from her Mama.
Here are 2 great father/child shots:
Father, son and a sled.
Buxton wasn't too impressed...probably because he had on enough clothes to survive a blizzard, but how about that view in the background!
He was definitely not impressed.
Our wonderful hosts, Mimi and Bill.
Last pic before the drive to the airport.
