this was a great mothers day despite buxton having a bad cold and my allergies really giving me a run for the money. our favorite restaurant in belmont had a special mothers day brunch menu and my dad treated all 3 of us to this awesome menu via a giftcard he sent me with a very sweet card. i the afternoon i was able to spend some time in the sun reading a magazine while buxton napped, then we went to ben's dad and step-mom's and were treated to a nice home cooked meal.
the focus of the day is really more important than what we do during it, and i really enjoyed spending some time thinking about how much i love being a mommy and how blessed i am that the Lord has trusted me with this role. when God gave us buxton he also gave me more patience and understanding, and opened my heart bigger than i knew possible. being pregnant with another has also led to an increase of all those mentioned above. i am so thankful for each and every day that i spend with buxton and carry this new baby in my womb. i am also thankful for my mom and grandma, whom i love and celebrate on this day as well.
