progress

lots of good progress to report. 1st, we officially have the surgery date, pre-op OB appt date and pre-op hospital appt date. baby E (i'm calling her this cause there is a good chance her name will start with an E -Elin or Elloise) will make her big debut on october 4th. that is unless she gets impatient and comes earlier. i'm starting to have thoughts that this is very possible. she feels big, and is taking up every ounce of space in my uterus. if it doesn't cool off soon i feel like my body is going to try and force her out before all these scheduled plans. and while i'm getting very excited to meet her, i'd of course prefer a fully developed healthy baby.

the other progress to report is on the nursery. ben laid the flooring today. it took him 45 minutes. yes i could have been spared a lot of anxiety over something that took 45 min, but at least it's done and we can move on to more fun things. like colors and the windows!

the chandelier and the crib are both white. the walls are called "natural", as are all our bedroom walls cause I like to keep things bright and simple and the color goes really well with white.

i'm planning to use the navy rocking chair we had slip covered for buxton's room in the nursery and put it right under the window. according to my measuring tape it fits, but i need to move it in there to know for sure. so to go with the navy and make it more girly, i'm throwing in some purple. jenn found a great white and purple polka dotted crib sheet at the PB outlet for me, and i just found some great black-out drapes at jcpenney in the color amethyst orchid (swatch below). the drapes will only go to the bottom of the window sill because the room is so small. i've never done drapes this short but hope it works out cause they were super cheap.
as soon as the molding goes in and the walls are touched-up we are going to set the crib up and move the chair in. so hope to have more pics soon!
